Get Outside Your World 2012
What's YOUR vision for Canada's role in the world?
Since 2004, the Get Outside Your World (GOYW) Contest has encouraged over 1300 Canadian students to think critically about how Canada can be a strong leader in the world, and the crucial role Canadian youth can play to make that happen.
The contest officially closed on May 1st. This year, we received incredible entries from almost every province in Canada - showing that Canadian youth are critical, creative, and engaged Canadian citizens.
We're working our way through the entries, and will announce the winners of two incredible prizes (a $1000 scholarship for the senior category winner, a $500 prize for the junior category winner, and a trip for both to EWB’s National Conference in January 2013 in Calgary!) by Friday, May 18th. Check back then for a look into the top entries in both categories!
We want to thank all of the students who shared their creativity and critical thought with us through this contest - and to all of the Members of Parliament who received, responded to, and engaged with the voices of Canadian youth from across our country. Lastly, we want to thank Statoil, for their continued support of Engineers Without Borders Canada, and for making this opportunity possible.
